Another Metro Modernization Project Ahead for Trakcja

On July 25, 2024, Trakcja S.A. and the Warsaw Public Transport Authority (Zarząd Transportu Miejskiego, ZTM) signed an agreement for the modernization of installations on Metro Line 1.

Trakcja has firmly established its presence in the Warsaw Metro — this is already the company’s eighth project within this vital public transport system. This time, the modernization will cover the lighting system at station A1 Kabaty and is scheduled for completion by May 2025.

As part of the project, Trakcja teams will install around 3,600 lighting fixtures and lay more than 85 kilometers of cabling. In addition, switchboards supplying power to the lighting system will be replaced. Thanks to these efforts, passengers will benefit from safe and comfortable lighting throughout the station tunnels, mezzanines, and platforms. The result will be brighter and safer spaces, enhancing the overall travel experience.
