Profit for the First Half of the Year and High Contract Backlog

The Trakcja Group’s backlog as at 30 June this year amounted to PLN 1,851 million. After that date, Trakcja PRKiI signed, among others, a contract for the modernisation of three stations in the Terespol area worth PLN 417.5 million. “We are pleased to see the large number of new contracts, including agreements worth PLN 1,138 million signed in the first six months of this year” – says President Jarosław Tomaszewski.

The Company continues intensive bidding in the rail, road and energy segments. The total value of bids ranked first in already open tenders amounts to nearly PLN 834 million. “We have a healthy market position, we are diversifying our revenue and waiting for further tenders – adds the President of the Management Board of Trakcja PRKiI.

In H1 2017, the Trakcja Group achieved revenue of PLN 537.6 million – up 12% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, and the Group’s net profit amounted to PLN 1.08 million.  “In the results for the first half of the year, we see a strong impact of the transitional period between EU financial perspectives. The Trakcja Group’s results were significantly affected by a decline in activity on the Lithuanian market combined with a change in the structure of the backlog – says Jarosław Tomaszewski.

During this period, Trakcja PRKiI achieved sales revenue of PLN 322 million, representing a 20% increase compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. The gross profit margin on sales in H1 was 5.2% and decreased by 0.7 p.p. compared to the comparable period of 2016, while net profit amounted to PLN 23.5 million.

For another year in a row, we paid a dividend – in July, shareholders received PLN 25.7 million, which amounted to PLN 0.50 per share – adds the President of the Management Board of Trakcja PRKiI.
