Trakcja S.A. Keeps Up the Pace – Third Contract in March Worth PLN 55.5 Million

On 27 March 2025, Trakcja S.A., as a sub-subcontractor, and ART In Energy sp. z o.o. concluded a contract for the benefit of a consortium of companies comprising: ZRK DOM w Poznaniu Sp. z o.o. (Leader), ALUSTA S.A. (Partner) and INTOP WARSZAWA Sp. z o.o. (Partner), concerning the execution of works related to the overhead contact line under the project “Works on the Poznań Freight Bypass”.

The value of the signed contract is PLN 55.5 million net and it is the third contract signed in March this year.

The scope of works covers the comprehensive reconstruction of the overhead contact line on the Swarzędz – Nowa Wieś Poznańska – Poznań Kobylepole – Poznań Franowo section. The project will involve approx. 50 km of new overhead contact line, approx. 1,300 pile foundations and approx. 650 support structures.

“The signing of this contract is another step in implementing our strategy of growth and strengthening our market position. Three significant contracts in one month are proof of our effectiveness and commitment to delivering services of the highest quality, and underline our dynamic growth and ability to win significant orders” – said Andrzej Kozera, Member of the Management Board, Operations Director at Trakcja S.A.

Completion of the entire task will make it possible to increase line capacity and shorten train journey times. After the modification of the track layout, including, among other things, lengthening of the turnouts, which enable a smooth change of running track, and increasing of curve radii, it will be possible for passenger and freight trains to run at speeds of up to 120 km/h, even several times higher than at present (currently the speed on the Poznań railway bypass, depending on the section, is 20-90 km/h). It is estimated that a train journey along the entire bypass route (from Poznań Główny via, among others, Franowo, Koziegłowy and Piątkowo back to Poznań Główny), including stops at all stations, will take approx. 50 minutes.

The value of all three contracts signed by Trakcja S.A. in March exceeds PLN 200 million, which is a significant contribution to the Company’s order backlog and has a positive effect on its future financial results.
