Trakcja S.A. and Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology Join Forces to Develop Future Engineers
The scope of joint activities includes research, analytical and pro-innovation projects, among them the development of new technologies, preparation of equipment prototypes, and expert studies and tests, as well as educational initiatives such as specialist courses, training sessions, seminars, and internships and short-term work placements for students.
On 8 December, Trakcja S.A. signed a letter of intent with Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology (Politechnika Bydgoska im. Jana i Jędrzeja Śniadeckich), opening an important stage of partnership between business and the academic community. The cooperation will be carried out jointly with the university’s Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Architecture.
“Cooperation with technical universities is a key element in building the future of the infrastructure industry for us. At Trakcja, we support young engineers by giving them access to modern technologies and practical knowledge gained on real projects. Our approach is confirmed by our cooperation with the Sectoral Skills Centre in Siedlce on building a modern training ground for power engineers and future overhead contact line installers. The partnership with Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology naturally strengthens this mission and opens the way to jointly developing competencies and innovation in the railway and infrastructure sectors,” said Bartłomiej Cygan, Technical Director and Member of the Management Board of Trakcja S.A.
The agreement signed is a solid basis for developing joint initiatives that will draw on our construction track record and the university’s research facilities. It is an important step towards modern technologies, ambitious research and solutions that will have a real impact on the future of infrastructure in Poland. At the same time, it fits into our broader direction of action, aimed at combining the potential of science and business.
