Trakcja PRKiI has signed a contract worth PLN 16 million net for the comprehensive reconstruction of a section, nearly 1.5 km long, of voivodeship road no. 694 Przyjmy-Brok-voivodeship boundary in Małkinia Górna, near Ostrów Mazowiecka.
The contract provides for widening the road to 7 m, replacing the carriageway surface together with correcting the geometry of the curves, and rebuilding junctions with municipal roads. A new road culvert will also be built in place of the old, worn-out structure. The route will receive modern street lighting. The task will also include building a storm sewer system and rebuilding the water supply and power networks.
The investment will contribute to improving pedestrian safety: refuge islands calming traffic will be installed on the road, and new pavements will be built along the route. Residents of the town will also gain a better connection to the PKP railway station located next to the section of road being renovated.
The project is due for completion at the end of August 2020.
