PEUiM – a Trakcja Group company specialising in road construction – has won a contract worth PLN 12 million net for the reconstruction of a section of Tysiąclecia Państwa Polskiego Street in Białystok, from the junction with Gen. St. Maczka Street to the junction with Wileńska Street.
The contract provides for complete demolition of the existing carriageway surface together with its base course and the laying of a new one, preserving the current course of the road. The street will also be widened to give two lanes in each direction. Bus bays and driveways will be built. Pavements and cycle paths will be built along the new route. Modern street lighting will be installed as part of the task. The contract also provides for the reconstruction of the power, sanitary and telecommunications networks.
The investment will contribute to increased safety for travellers – the street is an exit road towards Augustów – and to better connection of the city centre with neighbouring districts.
The investment will be completed within 10 months of the date of signing the contract.
