Kabaty Technical and Stabling Station with New Switchgear
After six months of planned works on the design and renovation of the DC switchgear at Kabaty metro station, we have completed the contract.
The contract signed this spring with the Capital City of Warsaw for developing the switchgear replacement technology, preparing the detailed design and carrying out construction works was completed on time.
From March to October our crews prepared the design and carried out works involving the replacement of the building’s internal and external installations, technical doors, the RST traction switchgear of our own manufacture and four earthing disconnector cabinets (SOU) – also manufactured at Trakcja – and modernised the signalling system with a dispatcher panel.
The new switchgear supplying the entry tracks of metro trains onto the line will safeguard the continuity and effectiveness of the power supply and eliminate delays already at the initial station of Metro Line 1 (A1 Kabaty) in Warsaw, while the earthing disconnector cabinet will protect the tracks during maintenance of the route on this section.
The Kabaty Technical and Stabling Station has joined the Kabaty-Imielin-Ursynów station (2020), modernised by Trakcja to a similar scope, and A5 Ursynów (2021). We are currently still carrying out modernisation works at the A7 Wilanowska substation.
