Revenue Growth and a Secure Order Backlog

Trakcja Group summarised its operating results for the three quarters of 2017. Sales revenue amounted to PLN 949.8 million and increased by 7%, compared to the same period last year. Gross profit on sales amounted to PLN 51.4 million and was lower by almost 53% compared to the same period of 2016. After three quarters, Trakcja Group reported a net profit of PLN 8.3 million, down 82% compared to a year earlier. The value of the Group’s gross profit increased by more than PLN 7 million compared to the results for the first half of 2017.

“We have good, steadily increasing sales, which we owe to our strong position in the railway market and growing revenue from the road and energy sectors. In terms of margin, after three quarters we are noting an increase in material prices and subcontractor costs on the Polish market, as well as a decline in margins on the Lithuanian market, where large tenders have not yet been announced and the sales structure is dominated by lower-value contracts. – comments Jarosław Tomaszewski, President of Trakcja PRKiI.

The value of the Group’s order backlog as at 30 September this year, excluding consortium partners, was nearly PLN 2 billion (1,945 million). In addition, the total of Trakcja PRKiI’s most advantageous bids amounts to PLN 582 million, and assuming their positive resolution, the Company expects a significant increase in its backlog.

I would describe our financial situation as very good, and with substantial execution capacity and a number of proven subcontractors, we are prepared for the next round of tenders. Currently, most of our railway contracts are in the initial phase of execution. We do not yield to market pressure and we always submit bids with positive margins – adds Jarosław Tomaszewski.
