Trakcja S.A. to Deliver a 110 kV Energy Project in the Krosno Area

Not only railways and roads, but also energy. Trakcja S.A. will deliver for PGE Dystrybucja S.A. a project to build a double-circuit 110 kV line in the Krosno area. The contract, worth PLN 50 million net, is another step in the development of the Trakcja Group’s competencies in energy infrastructure.

The project involves building approximately 9.3 km of high-voltage infrastructure in Krosno County and the city of Krosno, in the municipalities of Krościenko Wyżne, Korczyna and Wojaszówka.

The contract value is PLN 50 million net, and the time for completing the works is 20 months from the date the contract is concluded.

A contract in the area of 110 kV networks confirms that Trakcja’s competencies go far beyond the areas traditionally associated with rail and roads,” says Bartłomiej Cygan, Member of the Management Board of Trakcja S.A.

The scope of works comprises two main sections: overhead and cable. The investment will include, among other things, 16 new pole positions, phase conductors and an OPGW earth wire to be strung, and two circuits of 110 kV high-voltage cables to be laid. At crossings with roads and terrain obstacles, horizontal directional drilling is planned.

“This is a demanding engineering task, but also a good example of the fact that modern infrastructure does not end with tracks, roads and engineering structures. It is also energy – essential for the development of regions, the economy and the everyday life of residents,” stresses Łukasz Bielecki, Director of the Energy Branch of Trakcja S.A.

The project fits into the Trakcja Group’s development strategy for 2025–2030, in particular in the area of activities related to the power grid sector.

The contract in the Krosno area shows that Trakcja is developing its competencies in segments key to the safety and reliability of infrastructure — combining delivery experience with growing specialisation in energy projects.
