Trakcja S.A. Honoured at the “Masterpiece of Construction Art” 2024 Competition Gala

During the ceremonial Gala of the “Masterpiece of Construction Art” (Arcydzieło Sztuki Budowlanej) 2024 Competition, held at the PARK Hotel in Bydgoszcz, Trakcja S.A. was honoured for outstanding achievements in civil engineering. The event, organised by the Pomeranian-Kuyavian Chamber of Construction (Pomorsko-Kujawska Izba Budownictwa), aims to promote the highest standards in construction and to honour the most interesting construction investments in Poland.

The “Masterpiece of Construction Art” Competition is one of the most important events in the construction industry in Poland. Every year the competition’s jury selects the best projects from among the submitted investments in several categories, such as residential construction, public utility buildings, civil engineering and road construction, industrial facilities and revitalised sites. In this year’s edition, 18 investments were submitted, which competed for prestigious awards and distinctions.

Distinction for the Bridges in Bydgoszcz

Trakcja S.A. won a distinction for the construction of a tram route linking Fordońska Street with Toruńska Street. The project also included the extension of the road layout, the reconstruction of rail transport infrastructure and the construction of new bridge structures over the Brda River.

This investment was appreciated for the quality of its execution, its significant contribution to urban infrastructure and an innovative approach to civil engineering and road construction.

One of the key elements of the project was the construction of new bridges, which significantly improved transport connections in the city. These bridges were designed with durability and aesthetics in mind, as well as minimal impact on the natural environment.

Tram bridge – the tram bridge, which links two key arteries of the city, was built using modern materials, which ensures its longevity and resistance to weather conditions. The bridge is also equipped with cycle paths and pavements, which promotes sustainable transport.

Road bridge with a pedestrian and cycle function – an additional bridge intended for road traffic as well as for pedestrians and cyclists, which enables safe and convenient movement between districts. Its structure incorporates modern architectural solutions that fit harmoniously into the urban landscape.

The new tram route and the extension of the road infrastructure have significantly improved the comfort and safety of travelling around Bydgoszcz. Residents can now use faster and more efficient transport connections, which translates into time savings and a reduction in traffic jams in the city.
