The Company published its results for 9 months. The report shows a 35% increase in revenue and an almost fivefold increase in profits compared to the same period last year. Trakcja Group also posted better results, with revenue up 33% and already exceeding PLN 1 billion.
Trakcja PRKiI achieved sales revenue of PLN 607.3 million, representing an increase of 35% compared to the previous year. Gross profit on sales increased by 92.1% from PLN 21.9 million to PLN 42 million, while EBIT amounted to 20.5 million (an increase of 53.8%). Notably, gross profit rose significantly to PLN 25.1 million from PLN 5.11 million (an increase of 390.9%), and net profit rose to PLN 22.5 million from PLN 4.7 million (an increase of 382.7%).
In the first 9 months of 2014, Trakcja Group achieved revenue of PLN 1.039 billion, increasing it by 33.4% compared to the previous year. Gross profit on sales increased by 48.5% to PLN 98.9 million from PLN 66.6 million. Gross profit was PLN 39.9 million (an increase of 102.1%), while EBIT reached the level of PLN 53.3 million (an increase of 62.3%). Net profit was more than PLN 18 million higher than in the same period of 2013 and amounted to PLN 33.3 million.
“Our improved results, compared to the previous year, are the effect of, among other things, the merger of Trakcja with PRKiI and the ongoing improvement of management. We are systematically reducing costs and applying a new procurement policy, thanks to which we are achieving better margins on contracts. We are currently implementing our new strategy. Having an established position in railway construction, we are preparing to increase our activity in the energy and road sectors. We are also thinking about new geographic markets. The first foothold is a company established in Sweden, a subsidiary of the Lithuanian part of Trakcja Group, which has just won its first road contract for the construction of a bridge with a road system near Gothenburg – said Roman Przybył, President of Trakcja PRKiI S.A.
On 16 October 2014, Trakcja PRKiI S.A. announced the consolidation of its shares at a ratio of 8:1. This procedure will mean an increase in the nominal value of shares of all series from PLN 0.10 to PLN 0.80. On 4 November 2014, the District Court for the Capital City of Warsaw registered changes to the Company’s articles of association specifying the new number of the Company’s shares into which the share capital is divided.
