Trakcja PRKiI S.A. Will Modernise the Okęcie – Czachówek Railway Line

Nearly PLN 380 million net will be the cost of the works that Trakcja PRKiI will carry out on the Warsaw – Radom railway line. The contract concluded with PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe provides for the comprehensive modernisation of the Okęcie – Czachówek Południowy section over a period of 20 months.

“Since mid-June, Trakcja Group has already signed contracts worth nearly PLN 700 million, so we are systematically rebuilding our order backlog. The new Management Board has refined the marketing strategy and we have entered further tenders with renewed energy. The efforts of our bidding team have brought the expected results. We are currently awaiting the outcome of several more proceedings with a total value of nearly PLN 830 million, in which Trakcja PRKiI’s bids turned out to be the lowest. As announced, we have begun expansion into the road market. In recent tenders for S-class roads, we submitted two best-priced bids for almost PLN 600 million. Their successful finalisation practically means filling our order backlog for 2016.” – said Jarosław Tomaszewski, President of the Management Board of Trakcja PRKiI S.A.  

The contract concluded with PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. provides for the reconstruction of 27 km of track, 13 level crossings and 75 km of overhead contact line. As part of the project, the Warszawa Okęcie, Piaseczno and Czachówek Południowy railway stations and 6 passenger stops will be modernised. The works will also include the construction of 10 platforms and pedestrian crossings, the installation of new shelters and the installation of passenger information systems. In addition, the scope of the investment includes the construction of a dozen or so engineering structures, including 7 viaducts, 4 railway bridges and 16 culverts, as well as drainage works and the installation of power engineering equipment.
