Trakcja PRKiI Consistently Improves Its Results
Trakcja PRKiI closed the last financial year with sales growth and improved profitability. Revenue increased by 3.9%, while the net profit margin rose to 5%. Trakcja Group recorded revenue at its previous level and maintained good profitability.
Trakcja PRKiI’s revenue amounted to PLN 858.3 million, and net profit was PLN 32 million, up 11.6% compared to the previous year’s results. The decline in sales in the railway sector was offset by further diversification of operations. Trakcja PRKiI’s revenue in the road sector amounted to more than PLN 162.5 million, accounting for almost 19% of total revenue and was more than 3.5 times higher than in the previous year. Sales also grew in other segments: energy, production and other activities.
“The results of the past year confirm the effectiveness of our strategy and its consistent implementation – says Jarosław Tomaszewski, President of Trakcja PRKiI. We approached tendering and building a portfolio of contracts in various industries with great prudence. The Company’s order backlog at the end of the previous year amounted to PLN 1.5 billion. We are also counting on signing further contracts worth more than PLN 550 million, in which our offers are ranked first.”
Trakcja PRKiI has significant execution and financial potential, enabling it to participate in further tenders, and continues its programme of expanding its own resources in the railway and road segments. Active efforts are also underway to seek orders in the markets of neighbouring countries.
Last year’s revenue of Trakcja Group remained at a level comparable to 2016 and amounted to PLN 1.374 billion (a decrease of 0.5%), while net profit fell by 43% to PLN 32 million. “The Group’s results were determined by the situation in Lithuania, where we are dealing with a situation analogous to that which occurred in Poland in 2016, when the industry was waiting for the announcement of tenders under the new perspective – says Jarosław Tomaszewski. A rebound in this market is a matter of the coming months, and we welcome the announcements of several major tender procedures”.
Trakcja Group’s order backlog at the end of 2017 amounted to almost PLN 1.8 billion.
