Trakcja to Stay Longer in the Warsaw Metro

In about 8 months, Trakcja S.A. will install and then test a new switchgear for the Warsaw Metro. This is already our seventh project in the last five years on Line 1 of the Warsaw Metro.
On 19  April 2024, Trakcja S.A. and the Warsaw Public Transport Authority signed a contract for the task “Modernisation of the MV switchgear at station A3 Imielin on Metro Line 1”.
Under the contract, Trakcja will install a 3-bay RSN switchgear known as BHP, which will serve as an emergency power supply from neighbouring substations, and a 19-bay switchgear for the Imielin station itself. The most important systems, directly responsible for powering the metro, escalators, lifts and lighting, are being replaced.
There will be no interruptions in the operation of the substation during the works, so the switchgear will be replaced in sections. Passengers will not notice any changes in train services while the task is being carried out.

Contract value: PLN 3,410,000.00 net, time for completing the task – 9 months.
