WKD Line Renovation Completed on Schedule

The comprehensive renovation of Track No. 1 of the Warsaw Commuter Railway line between Warszawa Śródmieście and Komorów was completed as planned.

The task involved the modernisation of 17.5 km of track, including the replacement of rails on selected sections, the replenishment of ballast and the renovation of drainage ditches. 8 level crossings, including those in Pruszków, Brwinów and Komorów, and one pedestrian crossing were also modernised.

In line with the schedule, WKD train services resumed on both tracks on 1 September from 3:48 a.m. Passenger services are already running normally – 11 pairs of trains have run within the line’s maximum capacity. The modernised track will contribute to greater safety and comfort for passengers.
