Scope of works:
The Szczecin Metropolitan Railway (SKM) is an investment that will connect the largest cities of the metropolitan area – Stargard, Goleniów, Gryfino and Police – with Szczecin. Thanks to the construction of a modern and integrated rail network, passengers will gain a completely new level of travel comfort. Trakcja PRKiI is carrying out 2 tasks within the construction of the SKM. The first of the contracts provides for the modernisation of 24 km of railway line No. 406 on the Szczecin Główny – Police section, which has been closed to passenger traffic for years. The works will include the replacement of the track surface, the trackbed and 49 turnouts. In addition, 7 railway stations, 8 passenger stops and 36 engineering structures will be renovated. The investment also provides for the construction of 5 new stops and related passenger service facilities. The works will cover the installation of railway traffic control equipment and environmental protection elements.
