Trakcja PRKiI S.A. has signed a contract for the reconstruction of roads in Koronowo – a town in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. For nearly PLN 5 million several sections of streets will be renovated, while the modernisation of pedestrian and cycle routes, including at intersections with road traffic, will bring a significant improvement in safety.
The reconstruction of the road along Paderewskiego and Pomianowskiego streets in Koronowo includes, among other things: construction of a new asphalt concrete carriageway on a section of approx. 0.5 km, so-called overlays at two intersections, construction and modernisation of pavements and driveways to public areas and properties. In addition, two dividing islands will be built, together with a so-called pedestrian refuge, marked with active signs powered by solar panels, and a cycle path more than 1 km long. The scope of work also provides for the construction of bus bays, the installation of warning traffic lights and the construction of street lighting at the pedestrian crossing on ul. Paderewskiego. At the locations connected with the road works, the storm sewer will be renovated, conflicts with power and telecommunications infrastructure removed and the sanitary sewer rebuilt. The value of the works, the deadline for which is 31 August this year, is PLN 5.4 million gross.
Trakcja PRKiI S.A. is implementing a strategy to develop its activity in the road market. This contract is already the second contract won in this segment since the beginning of the year.
