New Tasks in the MUZa II Project

Trakcja PRKiI is currently carrying out tasks involving the supply and commissioning of 3 kV DC switchgear of the MRK-3M type, of its own manufacture, for traction substations located, among others, in Pułankowice, Zaklików, Lublin, Polichna and Niedrzwica, and the execution of the so-called “negative cells” in the substations Chmielów II, Otwock, Pułankowice, Polichna and Niedrzwica.  The total value of the tasks is PLN 4.4 million. 

Completion of the works is expected at the beginning of September 2019.

The Power Supply Systems Modernisation programme (MUZa II), worth approx. PLN 1 billion and run by PKP Energetyka, provides for the renovation and construction of almost one hundred facilities related to railway traction power supply. The project is correlated with the most important modernisation investments carried out by PKP PLK – the power supply of the lines from Warsaw to Białystok, Lublin and Radom and on the route from Poznań to Szczecin. All of the investments carried out are to contribute to trouble-free train traffic and shorter journey times.
