Modernisation of the Wrocław – Zgorzelec Line

Trakcja PRKiI S.A. has signed a contract for the modernisation of railway infrastructure on line 274 on the Imbramowice – Żarów section. The works will cost more than PLN 7 million net.

The contract concluded with PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe provides for works on the 6.2 km Imbramowice – Żarów section, which will consist of adapting the line to speeds of 120-140 km/h and modernising the overhead contact line. In addition, drainage and subgrade reinforcement will be carried out on part of this route.

The task will also include the replacement of 3 turnouts and the modernisation of platform no. 1 with its access path at Imbramowice station, as well as works in the fields of power engineering, telecommunications and railway signalling and control.

The completion date for the works has been set for the end of November 2016.
