Trakcja PRKiI Locomotive in New Livery

On 22 October this year the first SM 42 locomotive in the new Trakcja PRKiI livery went out onto the tracks. The vehicle underwent a general overhaul at Pesa in Bydgoszcz, where it received a colour scheme and graphics referring to the company’s logo. Trakcja PRKiI S.A., which holds the status of a railway carrier, has a total of seven diesel locomotives at its disposal, used to transport bulk materials used in the construction and renewal of railway routes, to run trains with specialist railway equipment and to provide traction services during track works.

The Company has one of the largest execution capabilities in Poland for the modernisation and maintenance of railway lines, including, among others, a PUN-type track renewal train, transporters, ballast screening machines and ballast cleaning machines, 7 overhead-line (catenary) trains, 7 railway cranes and several hundred specialist machines, devices, loaders, excavators and railway wagons. The equipment is in continuous use for contracts carried out independently or is hired out to other companies in the railway industry.
