Contract for the Modernisation of Warszawa Gdańska Station

Trakcja PRKiI S.A. has signed a contract for the modernisation of railway infrastructure in the area of Warszawa Gdańska station. The Company has improved its bidding and is systematically rebuilding its order backlog.

The contract that Trakcja PRKiI S.A. concluded with PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. on behalf of a consortium of contractors is worth more than PLN 43 million net. The contract provides for the preparation of design documentation and the execution of construction works within the Warszawa Gdańska station area.

“In recent weeks we have improved our bidding, which has resulted in our submitting the best price offers in three further tenders worth a total of more than PLN 210 million net. Our financial and execution potential allows us to deliver the largest railway  contracts.” – says Jarosław Tomaszewski, President of Trakcja PRKiI S.A.

The scope of works includes the reconstruction of 8 km of track, the installation of 19 turnouts and the construction of 10 km of new overhead contact line. The task also includes the installation of railway traffic control, power and telecommunications equipment, the construction of drainage, the modernisation of 2 engineering structures and the construction of one platform, which will be connected to the existing pedestrian underpass.  Alongside Trakcja PRKiI S.A., the consortium of contractors comprises ZUE S.A. and Comsa S.A. The deadline for completing the works has been set for  21 December 2015.
