Trakcja has completed another contract – the one concluded in March concerning the refurbishment of the A5 Ursynów Metro Substation.
The contract in question covered the replacement of a 10-bay DC switchgear (RPS), a return cable cabinet (SKP) and three types of trackside cabinets RST, SOU and SZW, 14 units in total. In the first phase of the contract the necessary equipment was manufactured, and it is worth noting that part of the switchgear was manufactured at our Industrial Production Branch, where we produce DC switchgear for railways, trams and trolleybuses. In the second phase, section I of the DC switchgear was switched off. During that time section II took over part of the power supply, which contributed to a temporary increase in loads on the neighbouring substations. In the next phase we switched off section II while section I supplied power. In the final phase we carried out tests of local and remote control.
