Another Municipal Investment Carried Out by TRAKCJA
Following the selection of the most advantageous bid in the tender procedure, Trakcja SA, represented by Marcin Lewandowski – President of the Management Board and Arkadiusz Arciszewski – Vice-President of the Management Board, has concluded a contract with the contracting authority – the City of Bydgoszcz – a contract concerning the construction of a tram line together with the expansion of the road system and the reconstruction of rail transport infrastructure in Bydgoszcz.
The subject of the contract covers the area of ul. Perłowa on the section between ul. Wojska Polskiego and ul. Toruńska, together with a section of ul. Toruńska, as well as from the junction of ul. Fordońska, ul. Łęczycka and ul. Kazimierza Wielkiego to the junction with ul. Toruńska and ul. Kazimierza Wielkiego.
Under the contract concluded on 5 July, Trakcja will carry out the reconstruction and expansion of the existing tram tracks, the construction of a tram and road bridge over the Brda river, and the reconstruction and expansion of the existing road system. In addition, the company will build and rebuild pedestrian and cycle routes, the power network supplying the traction network, road lighting, traffic control infrastructure, and sewerage together with drainage of the roads and the track bed.
“Another tender won, concerning the expansion and modernisation of infrastructure for public transport, confirms the high competence of our company in this area” – said Vice-President Arkadiusz Arciszewski on the signing of the contract,
“It is encouraging to see the direction taken by yet another local government, linked to investments in the modernisation of public transport, which, in the face of global climate change and the need to reduce pollution, is an expression of great responsibility on the part of Bydgoszcz’s city leaders” – added President Marcin Lewandowski. Under the contract, the construction works are to be carried out within 24 months from the date of concluding the contract. The value of the contract was more than PLN 153 million.
