Trakcja Group Honoured for Developing Polish–Lithuanian Relations
The Poland – Lithuania Cooperation and Dialogue Forum (Forum Współpracy i Dialogu Polska – Litwa) has honoured Kauno Tiltai for its contribution to building economic relations between our countries. The award was received on behalf of Trakcja Group by Aldas Rusevičius, President of the Management Board of Kauno Tiltai and, at the same time, Member of the Management Board of Trakcja PRKiI responsible for the Baltic markets.
The Association, which has been operating for more than 7 years, brings together members with recognised achievements in science and culture who are committed to promoting bilateral cooperation between the countries, among other things through educational and cultural programmes. Every year the Forum honours outstanding figures from the worlds of culture, science, politics and business who have contributed to deepening cooperation and friendship between Poland and Lithuania. This year the honourees included the Lithuanian company Kauno Tiltai, which belongs to Trakcja Group. In his laudation, Maciej Radziwiłł, long-time President of the Management Board and subsequently Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Trakcja PRKiI, pointed out that the delivery of infrastructure investments helps bring people and cultures closer together. Cooperation between the two companies takes place through technology transfer and the joint delivery of infrastructure contracts in Poland, in Lithuania and in other countries of the Baltic Sea region. The partners of the event included the Museum of the History of Poland (Muzeum Historii Polski) and the Centre for East European Studies of the University of Warsaw (Studium Europy Wschodniej Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego).
Kauno Tiltai is the largest company in the infrastructure construction sector in the Baltic countries. The company was involved, among other things, in the delivery of pan-European investments such as the construction of the Via Baltica route between Kaunas and Marijampolė and the Rail Baltica railway line on the Marijampolė – Šeštokai section.

This year the Forum presented awards in the categories of history, literature and business.
The laudation was delivered by Maciej Radziwiłł, long-time President of the Management Board and subsequently Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Trakcja PRKiI.
