Trakcja Group Doubles Profitability

A twofold increase in net profit at comparable revenue, close to a billion zloty in new contracts and a further reduction in debt – Trakcja Group presented its results for the first half of 2015.

Trakcja Group posted a twofold increase in net profit – compared to the same period of 2014, in the first half of 2015. At comparable consolidated revenue of PLN 565 million  – a decrease of 2.5%, net profit amounted to PLN 18 million versus PLN 9 million in the 6-month period of 2014. Trakcja Group achieved close to a 30% increase in gross profit on sales – to PLN 64 million, a 14% increase in profit on operating activities – to PLN 24 million, and a 10% increase in EBITDA to PLN 36 million.

In the same period, Trakcja PRKiI S.A. posted revenue of PLN 346 million, down by 9.2%,   a 14% increase in gross profit on sales and an increase in net profit to PLN 23 million. The decrease in profit on operating activities amounted to 14%, while EBITDA fell by 5%. In the first half-year, Trakcja PRKiI S.A. also recorded a further reduction in debt and reduced its working capital requirements.

We are systematically raising margins at comparable revenue and generating higher profits – says Jarosław Tomaszewski, President of Trakcja PRKiI S.A. From January to August 2015 we signed contracts worth more than PLN 836 million. The bidding policy introduced by the new Management Board is bringing measurable results, as a result of which we expect to be awarded tenders worth more than PLN 1 billion. We are successfully entering the road sector in Poland – we submitted the lowest bids in two tenders for expressways worth close to PLN 600 million, hence we expect a further increase in our order backlog.
