Introduction
Krzysztof Mejer is a graduate in history of the University of Opole and holds qualifications confirmed by the examination for candidates for members of supervisory boards, conducted by the Ministry of the State Treasury. His professional career has for over thirty years been connected with local government, the media and public activity.
Professional Experience
He gained experience, among other roles, as a radio reporter, a television programme producer, a press spokesman for the Governor of the Silesian Voivodeship, and also a spokesman for the Upper Silesian-Zagłębie Metropolis (Górnośląsko-Zagłębiowska Metropolia). In 2006–2015 he ran his own business in the field of public relations, specialising in image building for individuals and institutions and in training in media relations.
Since 2012 he has held managerial positions in local government administration – first as an adviser to the Mayor of the City of Ruda Śląska, and then as First Deputy Mayor of the City, responsible, among other things, for municipal services, urban transport, environmental protection and crisis management.
In 2023–2024 he was Vice-President of Fundusz Górnośląski S.A., where he was responsible for implementing EU projects supporting the SME sector and for supervising the financial and organisational divisions of the company.
Most recently he served as Vice-President of the Management Board of PKM Świerklaniec, responsible for marketing, promotion and the implementation of infrastructure investments.
Competencies
He has extensive experience in team management, cooperation with the media and public institutions, and in shaping the development strategy and image of organisations.
