Trakcja Group – Results Significantly Better Than a Year Ago

Trakcja Group posted higher revenue and better margins, and above all a profit already in the first quarter. In the first 3 months of 2015, the Group’s debt fell by more than PLN 60 million.

In Q1 2015, Trakcja Group generated sales revenue of PLN 230.5 million, up 31.0% compared to the corresponding period of 2014. Gross profit on sales amounted to PLN 22.4 million and increased by PLN 9.4 million compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. The gross margin on sales was nearly 10% in Q1 2015, while in the corresponding period of 2014 it reached 7.4%. In Q1 of this year, the Group achieved an operating profit of PLN 3.1 million. The operating result increased by PLN 4.3 million compared to Q1 2014, when the loss was PLN 1.2 million.

For Q1 2015, Trakcja Group generated a gross profit of PLN 2.4 million, while the gross result  increased by PLN 7.7 million compared to Q1 2014, when the loss was PLN 5.2 million. The Group’s net result for the period from 1 January to 31 March 2015 was positive and reached PLN 1.5 million. Net profit increased by PLN 6.2 million compared to the loss for the period of Q1 2014.

The Group’s long-term liabilities as at 31 March 2015 reached PLN 137.6 million and decreased by PLN 13.7 million, i.e. by 9.1%, compared to the position as at 31 December 2014. Short-term liabilities reached PLN 440 million and decreased by as much as 29.1%, i.e. by PLN 180.1 million, compared to the position as at 31 December 2014.

Revenue of Trakcja PRKiI S.A. in Q1 2015 amounted to PLN 155.3 million, representing more than 67% of the Group’s revenue. Gross profit on sales of Trakcja PRKiI S.A. reached PLN 15.1 million and was 32.3% higher than that generated in the corresponding period of 2014, while net profit amounted to PLN 2.5 million, i.e. as much as 254% more than a year earlier.
