Trakcja PRKiI has signed a contract worth PLN 417 million net for the comprehensive reconstruction of three stations on railway line E20 in the LCS Terespol area. The contract provides for the modernisation of the stations of Terespol, Małaszewicze and Biała Podlaska, under which nearly 49 km of track and 68 km of overhead contact line will be replaced and 8 platforms rebuilt. The facilities will be equipped with street furniture and a passenger information system. At the same time, the entire infrastructure will be adapted to the needs of persons with reduced mobility.
In addition, several new engineering structures will be built, including a level crossing on ul. Lubelska and ul. Witoroska in Biała Podlaska, which will be replaced by a two-lane road tunnel with a pedestrian pavement. The pedestrian footbridge at Biała Podlaska station will be replaced by an underpass, while the existing underpass at the station in Terespol will be refurbished and fitted with lifts.
The contract also includes the construction of new buildings for railway traffic control in Biała Podlaska, Małaszewicze and Chotyłów, as well as level crossing keeper’s buildings in Terespol and Kobylany.
The planned period for carrying out the investment is 36 months from the date the contract was concluded.
