Trakcja PRKiI Honoured at TRAKO

Products presented by the company were honoured three times at the TRAKO 2017 International Railway Fair.

The “Modular system for dynamic load regulation of a traction substation with the option of connecting charging points”, developed in cooperation with My Soft, received the Medal of the SEP President (Association of Polish Electrical Engineers) and a distinction in the competition of the Jan Podoski Chamber of Commerce for Urban Transport (Izba Gospodarcza Komunikacji Miejskiej im. Jana Podoskiego).

The main premise of the system is to store energy during breaks in train or tram traffic intensity – charging with a current many times smaller than the current drawn from the storage in order to support train or tram traffic. Developing and implementing such a system makes it possible to store “green” energy, which increases the efficiency of ecological installations and will have a positive effect on protecting the natural environment.

The next product appreciated by the experts was the dynamic passenger information and passenger safety system – TRAKCJA-SAT HUSAR SIP, distinguished in the Józef Nowkuński competition organised by the TRAKO International Railway Fair. 

The system, one of the most advanced solutions of its kind in Poland,  was first used at Łódź Fabryczna station. The solution was developed under a contract between PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe and Trakcja PRKiI for the design and construction of telecommunications equipment and IT systems at Łódź Fabryczna station and in the access tunnel and station, including integration with external systems. The solution’s technology partner is Sat System.

TRAKCJA-SAT HUSAR SIP makes it possible to integrate all the station’s security management and passenger service systems and to operate them from a single control point by a team of only 3  controllers.
