Trakcja Group Wins Major Road Contract in Lithuania

Ab Kauno Tiltai, a Trakcja Group subsidiary based in Kaunas, has signed a contract for stage III of the western bypass of Vilnius, part of a Trans-European network node.

The contract signed by Ab Kauno Tiltai on behalf of the consortium of contractors with the Vilnius City Municipality is worth more than PLN 271 million net ( PLN 328.6 million gross). The contract covers the construction of a section of the new city bypass, 5.4 km long, from Ozo Street to Ukmergės Street. As part of the works, six traffic lanes, six road viaducts and one pedestrian viaduct will be built. The investment also includes the construction of intersections and access roads. As part of the earthworks, more than one million cubic metres of earth will be excavated. In addition, the scope of works includes the reconstruction of 20 km of an overhead 110 kV power line and the construction of nearly 14 km of a water drainage system. The works are scheduled to take 20 months  from the date of the handover of the construction site.
