Modernisation of a Substation for Tramwaje Warszawskie

Trakcja PRKiI will modernise a traction substation for Tramwaje Warszawskie. The modern facility will be equipped, among other things, with a DC switchgear of the MRT-06/W type manufactured by the company.

The facility at ul. Tyniecka 30 will be thoroughly rebuilt in order to perform additional functions related to supplying power to tram lines in the Mokotów district. In addition to new equipment, including rectifier units, the substation will be connected to a computerised control system and will gain additional protections, including monitoring.

This task is the fifth energy contract related to the power supply of urban rail transport that the company is carrying out this year. Trakcja PRKiI is currently carrying out similar orders for trams in Łódź, Toruń, Olsztyn and Bydgoszcz, where it is equipping all three new substations, among other things, with MRT-06 tram switchgear that it manufactures.

The value of the contract is PLN 5.046 million net.
