Modernisation of a Railway Line in the Olsztyn Area

The works to be carried out by Trakcja PRKiI S.A. on railway line no. 353 are worth more than PLN 12 million.

The works will be carried out on an 80-kilometre section of the line: the IZ Olsztyn boundary – Ostróda – Olsztyn and will include demolition, construction of tracks and turnouts, replacement of the surface at 4 level crossings and modernisation of 3 platforms, together with the construction of small architectural features and passenger information facilities. In addition, the overhead contact line, non-traction power supply lines and railway traffic control equipment will be rebuilt. The task will also include refurbishment of the signal box at Naterki station.

Completion of the works is planned for the beginning of August 2017.
