Another Major Railway Contract in Silesia

Trakcja PRKiI S.A. will design and carry out construction works on 7 railway lines in the south of Poland.

The task involves restoring the technical parameters of railway line sections with a combined length of approx. 60 km, located on the Chybie – Żory – Rybnik – Nędza / Turze section. As part of the investment, the track superstructure and subgrade will be renovated and 139 turnouts will be replaced. The contract also provides for traction, power engineering and drainage works, modernisation of the railway traffic control system and renovation of passenger infrastructure, including 21 platforms and 2 pedestrian crossings. In addition, 58 culverts, 17 viaducts and 13 bridges will be rebuilt.

The value of the contract, in which Trakcja PRKiI is the leader of the consortium of contractors carrying out this contract, is PLN 374 million net. The consortium partners include the companies ZUE and Strabag.
30 months have been allowed for the execution of the works.
