Contract for Energy Storage

Trakcja PRKiI S.A., as a member of a consortium led by Qumak S.A., will deliver an energy storage system with a power of not less than 750 kW for Energa Operator S.A. The task will be completed within 22 weeks.

The consortium will supply, install and commission an electricity storage system with a nominal power of not less than 750 kW in both operating directions and a capacity of not less than 1,500 kWh. In addition, it will provide technical support and grant a warranty for 18 months from the date the system is put into service. The main purpose of the electricity storage system is to accumulate energy and use it to balance the power system and improve electricity quality. The value of the contract is PLN 8,276,670.00 gross.

Trakcja PRKiI’s tasks include, among others, designing and manufacturing battery racks and disconnector cabinets and arranging the individual devices. Trakcja PRKiI has nearly 60 years of experience in designing and manufacturing switchgear structures for power, which are elements of the power supply system for railway, tram and trolleybus lines, as well as other equipment, including sectioning cabins. The Company is systematically developing its activities in the energy sector.
