Trakcja PRKiI will modernise part of the Warszawa – Poznań railway line on the Sochaczew – Żychlin and Placencja – Łowicz Główny sections, with a total length of 50 km. The contract, worth PLN 428 million net, was concluded on 18 April this year.
“Despite growing competition among contractors, we are effectively defending our position as the industry leader – says Jarosław Tomaszewski, President of the Company. This year we have already signed contracts worth almost PLN 700 million in total, and we expect to successfully finalise tenders worth more than PLN 1.2 billion in which our bids are ranked first.”
The contract includes, among other things, reconstruction of the track superstructure and trackbed, replacement of the overhead contact line together with installation of new support structures, installation of turnouts, and renovation of railway traffic control equipment, including the equipment of the Local Control Centre in Łowicz. Under the contract, railway stations will be rebuilt, new engineering structures built, the telecommunications network modernised, and power lines for non-traction needs upgraded.
The entire investment will be completed within 42 months from the start date of the works.
