Poznań – Czempiń Contract Signed

Works worth more than PLN 173 million net will be carried out by Trakcja PRKiI S.A. under the contract concluded with PKP PLK S.A. for the modernisation of a section of the E-59 line linking Poznań with Wrocław.

“For several weeks now we have been on the starting blocks, ready to begin work. We already have the site office set up, works managers appointed, and construction materials and equipment prepared  – says Jarosław Tomaszewski, President of Trakcja PRKiI S.A. Thanks to this contract we are securing our order backlog for next year. Over the past 3 months the company has signed contracts worth almost PLN 600 million, and worth more than PLN 1 billion at the level of the Trakcja Group”. 

The contract covers the comprehensive modernisation of the Poznań – Czempiń section. Under the task, the railway line will be adapted to a speed of 160 km/h, together with elements of solutions for a speed of 200 km/h. The scope of the investment includes track works with track bed and level crossing surfaces, dismantling of the overhead contact line, power engineering works and drainage works. The works will also include the modernisation and construction of engineering structures and the reconstruction of access roads.
