Tunnel Opened Ahead of Schedule

Two weeks ahead of the deadline planned for mid-December, the first vehicles drove along the new section of ul. Niciarniana. The street was routed under the railway line between the Łódź Widzew and Łódź Fabryczna stations.

The viaduct will not only improve road and pedestrian traffic in this part of the city, but above all raise the level of safety and the quality of life of residents. The structure, built entirely by Trakcja PRKiI, is part of a modern interchange hub that was created together with the construction of a new platform, intended to serve regional and agglomeration traffic.

The Łódź Niciarniana stop will also play an important role in serving mass events held at the nearby Łódź Widzew stadium.
