Kowalewo Pomorskie – Golub Dobrzyń Road Renovated

On 27 May 2019, Trakcja PRKiI completed the reconstruction of a section, nearly 10 km long, of voivodeship road no. 554 between Orzechowo and Kikół in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. The contract, worth PLN 12.7 million net, covered demolition of the old carriageway surface together with accompanying infrastructure elements, as well as laying new layers of the road structure. The asphalt layers were additionally reinforced with geogrid, which will extend the service life of the road. The route was also widened to 6 m.

New pavements, driveways and bus bays were built along the renovated route, the shoulders were secured, and drainage works were carried out.

The investment will contribute to raising the level of safety of road users: protective barriers were installed along the route, and pedestrian crossings were equipped with modern lighting powered by solar-wind energy.
