Trakcja to Build the Overhead Contact Line on a Section in the Beskids
On 13 July this year, Trakcja concluded a contract with PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe worth more than PLN 16 million net for design work and construction works related to the reconstruction of the overhead contact line on the sections between the Bronów-Skoczów stations for the task titled: “Reconstruction of the overhead contact line on the Bronów-Wisła Głębce section”.
The implementation of the task, under the project “Improving safety and eliminating operational hazards on the railway network – Silesian Region”, will include: preparation of design documentation, and comprehensive reconstruction of the overhead contact line on the Bronów-Bieniowiec, Chybie-Bieniowiec, Bieniowiec-Pierściec and Pierściec-Skoczów sections, including the replacement of 46-year-old traction poles. Under the signed contract, new overhead contact line support structures will be built on prefabricated pile foundations; all disconnectors on the designed overhead contact line will be replaced. The task provides for the construction of earth-fault and electric shock protection systems together with earthing, and for the adjustment of the overhead contact line.
The task is planned for completion by the end of 2020.
