Industrial Production Branch Awarded a Certificate!
On 21 June 2022, the Industrial Production Branch of Trakcja S.A. successfully passed an external certification audit of its Factory Production Control (ZKP) system. The certificate confirms compliance with the requirements of standard PN-EN 1090 in the area of the design, fabrication and assembly of steel structures, including their anti-corrosion protection. It was also confirmed that the Industrial Production Branch met, at the highest level, the guidelines of the Welding Quality Management system under the requirements of standard PN-EN ISO 3834-2.
Certification of the Factory Production Control system under PN-EN 1090 is required for all manufacturers of steel and aluminium structures who wish to place their products on the market of the European Union (EEA).
Standard PN-EN 1090 divides structures into four classes: EXC1, EXC2, EXC3, EXC4, where EXC1 is the lowest class of structure and EXC4 is the highest. The implemented and certified Factory Production Control (ZKP) system enables the Industrial Production Branch to carry out conformity assessment and to affix the “CE” mark to a product in classes from EXC1 up to and including EXC3. Thus OPP Trakcja S.A. can apply for new orders in the EU for the design, fabrication and assembly of load-bearing structures such as:
footbridges for pedestrians and cyclists
bridges, viaducts, and road and railway flyovers
relocatable structures
towers and masts, e.g. antenna structures
crane runways
cylindrical towers, e.g. steel chimneys
The implementation by the Industrial Production Branch of the requirements of the PN-EN ISO 3834 standards makes it possible to control all stages of welding production, from the review of the Client’s requirements, through production, to the preparation of correct as-built documentation for the welded elements produced. As a result of full control of the production stages, on which the quality of the welded joints produced decisively depends, we obtain high-quality structures that meet the Client’s requirements.
