PRK7 Nieruchomości to Rebuild the Pilecki Institute Building in Warsaw

PRK7 Nieruchomości of the Trakcja Group has concluded with the Witold Pilecki Institute of Solidarity and Valour (Instytut Solidarności i Męstwa im. Witolda Pileckiego), based in Warsaw, a contract for the execution of construction works for the comprehensive implementation of the Investment titled: “Extension and reconstruction of an office and service building located in Warsaw at ul. Sienna 82”. The task of PRK7 under the subject matter of the contract will be to carry out the construction works related to the Investment, together with obtaining, on behalf of the Contracting Authority, the final occupancy permit for it. The scope of the contract will include structural, installation and finishing works as well as site development works.

The aim of rebuilding the Pilecki Institute building is to create a centre that will be a significant place of culture and documentation on the map of the city of Warsaw – a space enabling the widest possible communication of the values and ideas promoted by the Pilecki Institute.

The building will be modern, ecological and energy-efficient. After reconstruction and extension, it will consist of a 6-storey main building on the side of ul. Sienna and an added wing on the northern side, as well as a multi-purpose hall within the outline of the courtyard.

The net value of the concluded contract is PLN 61,550,980.49 (gross 75,707,706.00), and the construction works agreed under it are to be completed within 56 weeks from the date of signing the contract.

The Witold Pilecki Institute of Solidarity and Valour, referred to as the Polish Yad Vashem, is a Polish state institution whose aim is to commemorate and honour persons who have rendered service to the Polish Nation in cultivating memory or in giving help to persons of Polish nationality or Polish citizens of other nationalities who were victims of crimes against peace, crimes against humanity or war crimes in the years 1917–1990.
