Welcome to Trakcja’s New President of the Management Board!

As of 13 October 2022, the Supervisory Board of Trakcja S.A. decided to appoint Mr Artur Szumisz to the position of President of the Management Board and General Director of the Company.

President Artur Szumisz has been associated with the PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. Group since 2015, holding at its subsidiary, Pomorskie Przedsiębiorstwo Mechaniczno-Torowe, the position of Member of the Management Board, Director for Economic and Financial Affairs, and subsequently President of the Management Board.

Thanks to the development strategy developed, implemented, and pursued, the company managed by the President of PPM-T achieved a total of more than PLN 164 million in operating profit, together with a simultaneous increase in equity to PLN 458.7 million.

Extensive industry and professional experience – more than 20 years in managerial positions in design, engineering, and construction companies – is complemented by the education of President Artur Szumisz, who completed third-cycle doctoral studies at the Faculty of Management of the University of Gdańsk, as well as postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology, in the field of “Management of Infrastructure Projects in Railway Construction”.

The President holds an MBA obtained under the EMBA programme run by GFKM, the University of Gdańsk, and the IAE AIX-Marseille Graduate School of Management, Marseille Université. He is a Certified Financial Controller, as well as a member of the International Association of Controllers, and also holds an international project management certificate: the PRINCE2® Foundation Certificate in Project Management.
