Mr Łukasz Smółka is a graduate of the University of Agriculture in Kraków, where he completed the field of study “Agricultural and Forestry Engineering” (Technika Rolnicza i Leśna) with a specialisation in Computer Techniques in the Food Economy. He is a graduate of postgraduate studies Master of Business Administration at EY Academy of Business.
He has many years of managerial experience, having held managerial positions since 2009 in the Voivodeship Branch of ZOSP RP for the Małopolska Voivodeship. In 2015 – 2018 he was an employee of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Construction, and later of the Ministry of Infrastructure, involved in key road and rail investments.
Since 2018 he has focused his activity on work concerning the development of road and rail infrastructure in the Małopolska Voivodeship. He manages the organisation of public rail transport and coordinates the work of the rail carriers Polregio, Koleje Małopolskie and Koleje Śląskie. As part of his professional work he coordinates and supervises the implementation of strategic projects co-financed from EU funds.
