Steel Structures
The Industrial Production Department (OPP) within Trakcja S.A. is one of Poland’s leading manufacturers of supporting steel structures for traction, holding approvals issued by PKP PLK. Quality control is ensured by the Factory Production Control (ZKP), which is certified to produce finished products in accordance with PN-EN 1090 up to EX3 class.
We manufacture:
Traction Supporting Structures
Various supporting structures are used to suspend contact networks, including individual poles and gantries (structures consisting of two or more poles connected at the top by a rigid beam – bridge). Steel poles are designed as flat lattice structures, spatial structures, or solid profile sections (wide-flange HEB beams). Components of lattice structures are connected by welding. Supporting structures vary in height, width, and cross-section.
Individual Structures:
Channel Sections with Triangular Grating Heights:
7.4 m from C120, C140, and C160 channels
7.8 m from C120, C140, C160, C180, C200, C220, and C240 channels
8.2 m from C120, C140, C160, C180, C200, C220, and C240 channels
I-Beams Heights:
7.4 m from HEB180, HEB200, and HEB220 beams
7.8 m from HEB180, HEB200, HEB220, and HEB240 beams
8.2 m from HEB180, HEB200, HEB220, and HEB240 beams
Gantry Structures (Channel Sections):
Single Foundation Pile:
Through-end gantry pole heights: 9.2 m and 9.7 m
End gantry pole heights: 9.2 m and 9.7 m
Double Foundation Piles:
Through-end gantry pole heights: 9.2 m and 9.7 m
End gantry pole heights: 9.2 m and 9.7 m
Gantry Beam Supports E-3-4850 Gantry Beam Mounting Structures E-4590 Traverses (all designs) Anchor Pole Stays with Accessories (insulating sleeves, stirrups, etc.) Beam Fittings The cross-section is determined by the loads the structure is designed to support.
Anchor Pole Stays with Accessories (insulating sleeves, stirrups, etc.)
Semaphore Gantries: Supporting structures for signaling equipment are designed according to individual projects based on solutions similar to gantry structures mounted on one or two piles and connected at the top with a lattice beam. Semaphore gantries are made of S235JR and S355J2 steel..
Anti-Corrosion Protection of Manufactured Supporting Structures
The structures are protected with a zinc coating applied via the hot-dip galvanizing method, which involves immersion in molten zinc. The resulting zinc layer is at least 60 micrometers thick. Under average environmental corrosive conditions, poles and gantries protected this way can be used for up to 30 years without the need for maintenance of the protective coating.

We Offer Services
Sheet Cutting – CNC Plasma Cutter
OPP provides sheet cutting services using a digitally controlled plasma-gas cutter. With very high cutting precision and a 3D head, we are capable of cutting the most complex shapes from steel sheets up to 100 mm thick. We offer cutting services for both our own material and material provided by clients.
Table Dimensions:
Width– 2,10 m
Length– 6,15 m
Material Thickness up to 100 mm (gas torch)
Punching and Bending of Thin Sheets
Our machine park at OPP enables the punching of components from sheets with a thickness ranging from 1.00 to 2.50 mm, both black and galvanized, using a digitally controlled punching machine. Our engineers use the latest software to create nesting programs that minimize material waste. In addition to punching, we also offer bending and forming of the punched elements.
