Contract for railway track renovation in the Wrocław area
Trakcja PRKiI will renovate the tracks between Oleśnica and Wrocław for PLN 18 million. As a result, trains will achieve higher speeds, while safety will improve both on the tracks and in railway crossings.
A nearly 20 km section of railway line no. 143 will be overhauled by Trakcja PRKiI under a contract concluded with PKP Polish State Railways. The contract provides for renovation of both tracks on the Oleśnica – Wrocław Psie Pole section. The project will also include repair of 8 railway crossings on the rail level, reconstruction of the road surface in the railway crossing areas was well as control-command and signalling, electric power and drainage works. After the works are completed, the maximum train speed on the renovated section will increase up to 120 km/h.
The completion date is 27/11/2015.
