Trakcja S.A. in the mWIG 40 index at the Stock Exchange

On 14 November 2013, the Management Board of the Warsaw Stock Exchange decided in a resolution to include Trakcja S.A. in the mWIG 40 index after the session on 20 December 2013. To date, the company was included in the sWIG 80 index. The decision was made as a result of the quarterly adjustment of index participants. Along with Trakcja, mWIG 40 will also be joined by PKP CARGO, which had its debut at the stock exchange on 30 October this year.

Including the company in this index certainly constitutes a positive assessment of restructuring activities conducted to date and generated economic results – says Roman Przybył, the President of Trakcja. We have very good reputation on the market of infrastructural investments, so we are happy all the more with the recognition expressed by capital markets – he adds.

At the end of October, the merger plan of Trakcja S.A. and PRKiI based in Wrocław was announced. These are twin entities in terms of the scope of activity, the consolidation of which will mainly bring optimization of the management of contracting potential and benefits of scale in the area of supply.

The Trakcja Group comprises: the AB Kauno Tiltai Group, Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Kolejowych i Inżynieryjnych Wrocław, PRK 7 Nieruchomości, Torprojekt, PEUiM, and Bahn Technik Wrocław. Group revenues in Q3 amounted to over PLN 531 million, and were over 30% higher than during analogical period last year. The gross profit margin improved reaching 8.2% in comparison to 4.8% during the same period last year. Sale of redundant assets and ending disputes with consortium members also had positive influence.

Financial results and organizational changes were noticed by financial markets. The shares of Trakcja S.A. listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since 2008 increased almost four times since April this year.
