New overpass in Skarżysko-Kamienna opened!

On Thursday, December 29, we opened the overpass over the railroad tracks, long-awaited by the residents of Skarżysko-Kamienna, built as part of a partnership project. 

The scope of works included demolition of the old and construction of a new road overpass over the tracks, reconstruction of local roads, and construction of a turbo roundabout, which ultimately improved and increased traffic capacity in the city. Bus lanes, new pavements as well as a pedestrian and bicycle route have been created, along with green spaces. In addition, a number of necessary works have been carried out to extend storm drains, street lighting, reconstruction of the water and sewer, gas, heat, etc. networks.

The ceremonial opening of the facility on the 100th anniversary of the City was held in the presence of Member of the European Parliament, members of the national parliament, the Governor of the Świętokrzyskie Province, the Marshal of the Świętokrzyskie Province, representatives of the local authorities of the Skarżysko-Kamienna city, district and municipality, as well as the Trakcja company and other distinguished guests.

The overpass worth nearly PLN 40 million was completed on schedule, that is, by the end of 2022 and is the largest district road investment in the city.
