Trakcja S.A. with another railway contract!
On 11 August 2021, representatives of PKP PLK S.A., acting as the Ordering Party, and Trakcja S.A., represented by Vice-President of the Management Board Arkadiusz Arciszewski and Vice-President of the Management Board Paweł Nogalski, acting as the Contractor’s representatives, signed a contract for execution of another project. The Contractor, chosen in an open tender, undertook to carry out construction works under the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment (POIiŚ) Project 5.1-11.2 entitled: "Works on railway line no. 7 Warszawa Wschodnia Osobowa - Dorohusk on the section Warszawa - Otwock - Dęblin - Lublin, Stage II.
Works on the section Warszawa Wschodnia - Warszawa Wawer will include, in particular, construction of the new Warszawa Wiatraczna stop near the hospital in Szaserów Street, construction of a new communication node, which will increase passengers’ comfort and safety, as additional passages under the tracks are to be constructed. Ireneusz Merchel, the President of the Management Board of PKP PLK S.A. pointed out that five new underpasses, being a part of this project, would significantly facilitate communication in the local railway infrastructure area and would increase the safety of passengers and the local community in general.
The implementation of the project is to contribute to the improvement of in-city and long-distance travel, thanks to the construction of a four-track system between Warsaw East and Otwock. This solution will increase the capacity of the line, and thus the number of trains that can run between Warsaw and Lublin and Warsaw and Otwock. The project also includes the installation of modern railway traffic control devices.
"Trakcja S.A. is fully prepared to complete the task according to schedule. We have the appropriate human and equipment potential, and we have already secured the materials necessary to carry out the works under this contract”- said, Arkadiusz Arciszewski, Vice President who signed the Contract. The value of the contract is PLN 422.4 million net, and the completion deadline is 30 months from the date of the contract conclusion. "
