TRAKCJA at the Polish and Ukrainian economic forum

The visit of the Polish President and his wife in Ukraine that lasted from Sunday ended on Tuesday evening. It abounded in events and agreements that might have critical impact on the relationships of both countries and was the opportunity for the new economic opening between Poland and Ukraine. Both parties declared that they are willing to take the opportunity which fact was manifested by the event on the last day of the visit.

On Tuesday, the President Andrzej Duda together with the President Volodymir Zelensky have opened the forum "Perspectives of cooperation between Poland and Ukraine: implementation of common initiatives and projects within transport and energy" in Odessa. Then, the cooperation agreement has been signed between the ports in Gdańsk and Odessa in order to create new, intermodal transport corridor connecting Baltic Sea with Black Sea.

Serious approach to the new economic opening in bilateral relationships of both countries has been manifested by the Polish President in the context of common infrastructural undertakings consisting in construction of roads, bridges, railway lines, ports and modernization of border crossings. The president underlined that without organized, modern infrastructure, one cannot think about mutually effective and beneficial economic cooperation.

Based on the President's words and according to the purpose of the visit in Ukraine, within the scope of the event: „Perspectives of cooperation between Poland and Ukraine: implementation of common initiatives and projects within transport and energy”, expert panels have taken place. Within the panel devoted to the infrastructure, Wojciech Balczun - proxy of the Board of TRAKCJA S.A. was one of the speakers.

The President Andrzej Duda participated in a small workshop with entrepreneurs running their operations in Ukraine. The workshop was attended also by the Minister of Infrastructure Andrzej Adamczyk, Polish Ambassador in Ukraine Bartosz Cichocki, as well as presidential ministers. The main issues concerning companies operations in Ukraine were discussed during the meeting. Wojciech Balczun representing the Trakcja Group at the meeting, presented information concerning TRAKCJA Ukraina company plans related to further, intensive development of the business in order to build one of the leading companies in Ukraine.
