Trakcja to build overhead contact line on route to Beskid Mountains
13 July 2020 Trakcja has signed a PLN 16 million (net) contract with PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe for design and construction works related to reworking the overhead catenary on routes between the Bronów and Skoczów stations for the task titled "Revitalisation of the overhead catenary along the Bronów - Wisła Głębce section".
The task, which comes as part of the project titled "Improvement of safety and elimination of operating threats on the Silesia Region railway network", includes preparation of the design documentation, comprehensive rework of the overhead catenary along the sections Bronów-Bieniowiec, Chybie-Bieniowiec, Bieniowiec-Pierściec and Pierściec-Skoczów as well as replacement of 46-year-old catenary poles. The latest contract provides for building new catenary suspension structures on prefabricated pole foundations and replacing of all disconnectors in the newly designed catenary. The task involves construction of an earth fault and shock protection system, structure bonding and adjustment of the catenary.
The task is scheduled for completion before the end of 2020.
